25th Annual National
Organics Recycling & Compost Conference

September 16-18, 2015
The Crowne Plaza Gatineau-Ottawa
Gatineau, Québec

Organic residuals are the largest component of the waste stream. Their return to the earth through composting and anaerobic digestion is also fundamental to soil health and vitality.

For the past 25 years, the national organics recycling and compost conference of The Compost Council of Canada has served as the forum advocating and documenting the advances in programs, regulations, research, technology and markets to establish and sustain the organics recycling infrastructure across Canada.

On the occasion of both the 25th Anniversary of our national conference as well as the International Year of Soils, The Compost Council of Canada is inviting proposals for presentations, workshops and posters addressing advances in organics recycling and end-use markets.

Our conference venue, the Crowne Plaza Gatineau-Ottawa (2 Montcalm St., Gatineau QC), is offering special delegate rates starting at $129/night (plus applicable taxes). Reservations can be made directly with the hotel via e-mail at or by calling
or 1-800-567-1962. Please reference your participation in the Compost Council of Canada’s conference to receive these special rates.

Since they are booking up quite quickly, if you find that the Crowne Plaza is fully booked on some or all of the nights you’re looking for, please consider staying at the Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa instead. A reasonable walk or very short car-ride/carpool away, the Best Western Plus is offering us a block of rooms starting at $125/night each. To reach the Best Western Plus Gatineau-Ottawa please call 1-800-770-8550 and ask for the group name “The Compost Council of Canada” or group ID 5209. Or, use this link to book online directly in that block.
